Ashley Alexandra Dupre Photos

This has nothing to do with life in Saipan.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre nude photoCNN reports that the New York Times reports that "the woman at the heart of the Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal is a 22-year-old would-be singer from New Jersey."

I love New Jersey!

The story continues:

"The newspaper said that Ashley Youmans -- now known as Ashley Alexandra Dupre -- was identified in court documents as Kristen, the high-priced prostitute who met with Spitzer at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington on February 13."
I saw in another article that her, um, professianal fee is upwards of $5000......per hour.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre naked picWow.

Also of great importance, a woman in Kansas has been stuck on a toilet for two years.

In other political news, it looks like I may get the chance to vote in a Presidential Primary that is actually counted.

Saipan Democrats Choose Obama

In a story carried by the Miami Herald, it has been announced that the Saipan GOP voted today to give their 9 delegate votes to John "10,000 More Years in Iraq" McCain.

In an exclusive story carried only by this blog, the Saipan Democrats (that would be Mr. Woodruff, a tree hugger's wife, and me) overwhelmingly support Barack Obama (Jane, you don't count because you're a lawyer. Oh, wait, so is Mr. Woodruff. Never mind. You don't count because you're....I don't know. You just don't count. Sorry. ¡VIVA OBAMA!)

Pretty funny that I'm reading news about Saipan in a Florida newspaper before the news even hits the Saipan media. What's up with that?

By the way, I once had a letter to the editor published in the Miami Herald. How cool is that?

Oh yeah, then in an example of six degrees of separation (in this case only three degrees), the Senator that I spanked in that letter, Mel Martinez, sends his kids to the same school that my brother Kevin and my sister Catie attend (check out the third picture down in this post).

Disenfranchised

I received my Presidential Primary ballot back in December. I dutifully filled it out and mailed it back in using the prepaid envelope provided by the Orange County Supervisor of Elections.

The election is today. I voted for Barack Obama.

...and my vote won't count.

The Democratic National Committtee (DNC) has taken away all of Florida's delegates to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver because the state moved its primary up to January 29. The DNC rules stipulate that states that have not been granted a special waiver must schedule presidential nominating contests after February 5.

That leaves me disenfranchised.

Man, being a Florida voter sucks.

The Saipan Blog endorses Scott Randolph

My good friend and former roommate, Florida Representative Scott Randolph (D-Orlando), is running for re-election in 2008.

In 2005, I stood beside Scott and Scott's wife, Susannah, as we made his first campaign T-shirts in their living room. I also set up their first paypal account, which helped them receive their very first online contributions.

I moved to Japan shortly after that, which of course led to my return to Saipan. Read the archives of this blog if you want to know the rest.

I missed out on helping Scott win his first primary election and his first general election in 2006. I'm 6,000 miles away, so the most I could do was put a campaign button on my website and send in a campaign contribution.

Scott is an environmentalist's dream come true. He is currently the Democratic Ranking Member on the Florida Committee on Environmental Protection and has spent his entire career working to protect Florida's fragile environment.

If you want to join me in helping to elect a Real Environmentalist, click HERE, and make your donation today. The maximum donation is $500 for the primary election and $500 for the general election.

Scott's opposition spent $1.7 million to defeat him last year...and lost. They'll be looking to reclaim his seat in the next election, probably spending even more money. Please donate. Every dollar will help us keep a real environmental champion in office.

News from home

My 7 year old sister, Catie, is starting a new career:

Did you notice that her reporting got more animated once she started to ad lib? That girl is going to be a handful when she hits the teenage years.

My 9 year old brother, Kevin, is thinking about starting the same career, too:
